Lead Generator - Biltright Turf
Turf Distributors
Dallas, TX

Retail Appointment Setter

Hungry to get into sales? This is the entry point. You'll work inside the Home Depot and Lowe's stores in your territory, talk to homeowners about their yards, and book in-home appointments for our field sales team. When those appointments sell, you earn 5% of the project.

No prior sales experience required. We'll train you on our product, how to start conversations, and how to book a quality appointment. What you bring is energy, consistency, and the drive to grow.

Here's exactly what you'll be doing, so there are no surprises:

  • Work in-store events. Set up and run a Biltright table or display inside your assigned Home Depot and Lowe's stores, usually in or near the garden and flooring departments.
  • Approach shoppers. Greet customers walking by, start conversations about their yard, and introduce Biltright turf. This is proactive work: you go to them.
  • Qualify the lead. Confirm they're the homeowner, learn about their project, yard size, and timeline, and make sure the decision makers can be there for the appointment.
  • Book the appointment. Schedule a free in-home design consultation with one of our field sales reps, directly on our calendar, while the customer is in front of you.
  • Enter every lead in our CRM. Accurate names, phone numbers, addresses, and notes, entered the same day.
  • Confirm your appointments. Reach out before each appointment to confirm the time and that everyone will be home. Confirmed appointments sell, and sold appointments are how you get paid.
  • Take care of your dealers. Build relationships with store managers and department associates so they send turf customers your way. Keep displays stocked with fresh brochures and samples, and follow each store's vendor rules.
  • Track your numbers. Conversations, appointments set, appointments confirmed, and appointments sold. You'll see your results every week.

Here's the best part: you never have to close a deal. You book the appointment, and one of our experienced field sales pros takes it from there. They handle the in-home design, the pricing, and the close, and when it sells, you get paid on the full project. You get to focus on what you do best, meeting people and booking appointments, while a proven closer works to turn every one into a paycheck for you.

You'll be assigned a territory of Home Depot and Lowe's stores and plan your in-store days around them. Store traffic peaks on weekends and during spring and summer, so weekend availability is a must, and the busiest days are the best-paying days. Your schedule is flexible beyond that, and you'll drive between stores, with mileage reimbursed.

This is a commission-only position. There is no hourly wage or base salary. You earn 5% of the total project on every appointment you generate that sells. Appointments that don't sell do not pay, which is why booking quality, confirmed appointments matters. Our average project is $9,204, so each sold appointment pays about $460. Our field reps close around 40% of appointments. Here's what that looks like over 48 working weeks:

Appts set / week - Sold / week - Annual projects - You earn (5%)

Solid - 10 - 4 - $1,767,000 - $88,000

Strong - 15 - 6 - $2,651,000 - $132,000

Top performer - 20 - 8 - $3,534,000 - $176,000

Illustration based on our average project size and a 40% close rate. Actual earnings depend on the number of appointments you set and how many sell. Benefits: mileage reimbursed, $50/month for your phone, 80 hours PTO, paid holidays, healthcare, vision, dental, and 401k.

This role is a launchpad. You'll learn our product, our customers, and how great sales conversations work from the ground up. Show results, and there's a clear path to move up into our Field Sales role, where our closers earn 10% of every contract they sell.

What we're looking for:

  • Hungry and self-motivated. You show up, set your own pace, and don't need someone pushing you.
  • Outgoing. You're comfortable walking up to strangers and starting a conversation, all day long.
  • Reliable. You're at your stores when you say you will be, and your leads are entered accurately.
  • Coachable and competitive. You want to learn and you like seeing your numbers climb.
  • Available weekends and able to stand for a full shift in a retail setting.
  • Road-ready. Valid driver's license, an insured and reliable vehicle, and a smartphone or tablet.
  • Character. Clients first, always. That's how Biltright was built, and it's how we grow.

Helpful but not required: retail, customer service, hospitality, event marketing, or any sales experience. Biltright was built on doing it right in an industry famous for not. Biggest commercial job, smallest residential yard - same standard. If you're hungry and ready to prove it, we want to meet you. Start here. Grow here. Go as far as you want.
