Option One: Road Warrior


Start at 75 CPM.


    Drivers on this option are guaranteed $1725 per week minimum but can earn $2200 on top weeks. Drivers on this position must be willing to go out 8 weeks at a time then go home for 10 days. Drivers living outside our hiring area get a free round trip flight back and forth to home for their hometime allowing us to hire nationwide! Drivers on this option can earn $100,000+ yearly.


Option Two: Midwest Regional Premium Pay


Start at 68 CPM.


    Drivers on this option are also guaranteed $1564 per week minimum but can earn $2000 on top weeks. Drivers on this position must live in the Central United States and go out 4 weeks at a time and then go home for 5 days. This position bridges the gap between the top paying Road Warrior option and our Traditional Midwest fleet. Drivers on this option can earn $90,000+ yearly.


Option Three: Traditional Midwest Regional


Start at 66 CPM.


    Start at 66 CPM with 1 CPM raises at 6 months and 1 year. Drivers are guaranteed $1518 per week minimum but can earn $1900 plus on top weeks! Our senior drivers are guaranteed $1564 per week minimum Drivers on this option can earn $85,000+ yearly! Drivers can be home as often as every two weeks in most locations.


Option Four: Midwest Regional, Home Weekends


Start at 65-70 CPM.


    Drivers on this option start at 65 CPM to 70 CPM depending on location and are home every weekend. This position is available in select Midwest locations. While there is not a mileage guarantee on this options the drivers get the balance of great miles and hometime every weekend. Drivers on this option can earn $75,000+ yearly.

Summary:

Roadway Moving is seeking experienced and dependable CDL Class A OTR Freight Drivers to transport freight warehouse-to-warehouse between our nationwide hub locations. This is a 1099 independent contractor position offering consistent miles and strong earning potential for qualified drivers (up to $200,000+ annually).

Drivers will operate our newest, up-to-date equipment while running long-haul routes that support our growing U.S. hub network, including Texas, Chicago, Florida, California, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Moving company experience is strongly preferred but not required for candidates with proven OTR experience. We are also open to working with OTR drivers who have their own trailers.


Compensation:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on over-the-road (OTR) routes
  • NO TOUCH FREIGHT! Transport freight from warehouse to warehouse between Roadway Moving hubs and partner locations
  • Maintain on-time pick-ups and deliveries while following assigned schedules and routes
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
  • Ensure cargo is transported safely and securely (as required by load type)
  • Follow all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and traffic laws
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding route status, delays, and delivery updates
  • Maintain accurate trip documentation, delivery paperwork, and required logs
  • Represent Roadway Moving professionally at all customer, warehouse, and hub locations

K&B Transportation has four pay options depending on your hometime needs. We let drivers choose between pay packages with pay starting from 65-75 CPM. Drivers on options one, two and three are guaranteed 2300 miles per week. Options vary by location.



Option One: Road Warrior


Start at 75 CPM.


    Drivers on this option are guaranteed $1725 per week minimum but can earn $2200 on top weeks. Drivers on this position must be willing to go out 8 weeks at a time then go home for 10 days. Drivers living outside our hiring area get a free round trip flight back and forth to home for their hometime allowing us to hire nationwide! Drivers on this option can earn $100,000+ yearly.


Option Two: Midwest Regional Premium Pay


Start at 68 CPM.


    Drivers on this option are also guaranteed $1564 per week minimum but can earn $2000 on top weeks. Drivers on this position must live in the Central United States and go out 4 weeks at a time and then go home for 5 days. This position bridges the gap between the top paying Road Warrior option and our Traditional Midwest fleet. Drivers on this option can earn $90,000+ yearly.


Option Three: Traditional Midwest Regional


Start at 66 CPM.


    Start at 66 CPM with 1 CPM raises at 6 months and 1 year. Drivers are guaranteed $1518 per week minimum but can earn $1900 plus on top weeks! Our senior drivers are guaranteed $1564 per week minimum Drivers on this option can earn $85,000+ yearly! Drivers can be home as often as every two weeks in most locations.


Option Four: Midwest Regional, Home Weekends


Start at 65-70 CPM.


    Drivers on this option start at 65 CPM to 70 CPM depending on location and are home every weekend. This position is available in select Midwest locations. While there is not a mileage guarantee on this options the drivers get the balance of great miles and hometime every weekend. Drivers on this option can earn $75,000+ yearly.

Responsibilities



  • To comply, follow, and have knowledge of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations that govern: including but not limited to the rules that pertain to Hours of Service, Fed Regulations, local and state laws, equipment related requirements, and loading of freight to comply with weight and position limitations.

  • It is the driver s responsibility to make check calls daily with their dispatcher.

  • It is the driver s responsibility to call customers and or brokers regarding information on the assignment assigned and or changes to arrival time.

  • It is the driver s responsibility to fax or email business expenses in daily (Lumpers, Tolls, Fuel, repairs, chains etc.) and bill of ladings and backhaul documents.

  • Read maps and plan routes to find the most practical and time efficient route while avoiding truck-restricted routes and to plan fuel stops according to company policy.

  • Read and understand road signs to avoid dangerous situations (i.e. low underpasses or impassable routes) and to avoid getting lost, having a late delivery, and/or running out of fuel.

  • Plan ahead for financial expenditures and keep track of any job-related expenses (i.e. road tolls, unloading fees, tractor/trailer washes etc.)

  • Manage time to prevent late pickups/deliveries.

  • Complete paperwork daily for each load hauled, drivers logs (Hours of Service), payroll, expenses, fuel trip reports, driver trip report, and any other company required paperwork

  • Communicate professionally with dispatchers, safety department, other Letica Freightlines departments/associates, other motorists, shippers, receivers, law enforcement personnel, and DOT officers but not limited too.

  • Inspect cargo by climbing in and out of tractor and trailer as needed by utilizing the three-point contact method to support body weight.

  • Re-stack cases of shifted product from 5 lbs to 15 lbs per case depending on the type of product as required.

  • Operate a pallet jack to move product to the rear of the trailer.

  • Secure load with load locks as needed.

  • Operate a standard 10-speed transmission and a fully automatic transmission utilizing right hand to operate the gear selector.

  • Pull the 5th wheel release, tandem axle releases and open/close trailer doors in all types of weather conditions.

  • Adjust trailer pin height by turning the metal crank mounted on the trailer in order to move the landing gear upward and downward to position the trailer properly for hooking or disconnecting the tractor to the trailer.

  • Sit for long periods of time up to, but not to exceed, 11 hours per shift followed by at least a 10 hour off duty/sleeper berth.

  • Ability to adapt quickly according to the road conditions, environment, traffic patterns, weather conditions, and the demands of the job.

  • Work weekends as needed.


Qualifications



  • To posses and maintain a current Commercial Drivers License Class A (CDL A license).

  • Required six months of over-the-road tractor/trailer experience

  • Knowledge of the laws for driving under a CDL A license.

  • Meet the physical qualifications and examination under 391.41 DOT reg.

  • Experience and ability to drive a tractor with a 53 foot trailer to include maneuvering safely thru traffic and backing up to shipper/receiver.

  • Ability to maintain and properly gauge speed when descending down mountains and or hills.

  • Ability to operate a pallet jacket.

  • Ability to pass a road test.
