Huntsville Hospital is a 971 bed Level I Trauma Center and the Regional Referral Center for north Alabama and southern Tennessee. The Emergency Department is a progressive 75-bed ED that sees approximately 165,000 patient visits per year. The hospital has 24/7 Hospitalist, Radiology, Cardiology, Trauma, Orthopedic and Neurosurgical coverage. Huntsville Hospital also hosts the Internal Medicine and Family Medicine Residency Programs for UAB and 3rd and 4th year medical students from UAB. 130 total ICU beds.

We are seeking a Gastroenterologist Hospitalist to join our hospital-employed, well-established, group!
Guaranteed 800,000.00 guaranteed salary. Visa Sponsorship Available if needed!
There are 7 physicians currently and a growing community demands the addition of Gastroenterology Hospitalists. All approved gastroenterological procedures, including M2A Capsule, EUS and ERCP, are performed by our group. Our group has 14 exam rooms and is located in a medical professional tower attached to the hospital. We have 37 full-time employees, including an on-site office manager, receptionist, RNs, and 4 Nurse Practitioners in the Hospital. We have a state-of-the-art Endoscopy Lab capable of performing over 1,200 procedures per month and has 24-hour in-house radiology coverage. Excellent payer mix with 60% Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Incentives include paid vacation, CME allowance, health and life insurance, malpractice insurance, and a 401k plan with employer contribution.
Schedule:
Work 7 days on and 7 days off
Week Days - Monday-Friday, 8 am- 5 pm (no call at night)
Weekends Friday 5 pm-Monday at 7 am (on call throughout the weekend)

General Summary:

The APP, under the supervision of Physicians is responsible for:

• The APP is responsible for providing care for NICU and newborn patients within the scope of licensure and within the supervising physician's scope of practice.
• Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, order and interpret labs, x-rays and other diagnostic studies per specialty guidelines and under the guidance of the Neonatologist
• Perform procedures such as intubation, lumbar puncture, umbilical lines, PICC lines and chest tube placement, and circumcisions.
• Communicate effectively with parents, other specialists and among NICU team members.
• Providing education and support to patients families
• Dispensing medications under collaborative agreement with a supervising physician

Schedule Details:

• 24 hour shifts, restricted/unrestricted
• Call required 14 days per month

Required Education and Experience:

• Master s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies with Neonatal Certification (required)
• 1-2 years of experience in the NICU as an RN (highly preferred)

Required Licensure and Certification:

• Must hold a valid Florida APRN License with Neonatal certification

Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is recruiting a child neurologist to join our hospital employed, established, child neurology practice. Duties include an outpatient clinic and serving as a consulting service for inpatients. The office is conveniently located next to Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children.

Practice mainly sees seizures, headaches, developmental delays, CP and muscle issues. Baclofen pump, Botox, EEG, EMG/NCV studies, EMU monitoring. We receive 50-60 referrals a week and see approximately 15-18 patients daily per physician. Call is 1:3 (however, call back is very low, maybe 3-5 calls during that 7-day period and most can be handled via phone).

Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is a stand-alone facility that offers the region's most comprehensive and experienced maternal and child health programs. With an average of 5,000 births a year and 16,000 admissions annually, the hospital is the only one of its kind in the region with a 75-bed Level III NICU, an 11-bed PICU, a 16-bed pediatric ER, and a 38-bed inpatient pediatric floor which is managed by pediatric hospitalists. Pediatric neurology serves as a consulting service to the NICU, PICU, ER and pediatric floors. The PICU and pediatric floors have multiple rooms for EMU monitoring. We currently have three Gastroenterologist and three Advanced Practice Practitioners on our team. We do provide ERCP and EUS services. We are firmly committed to developing a strong gastroenterology program. We also have a colorectal surgeon for our Surgical Specialists group. Our GI call is currently one in four during the week (for our patients) and one in seven for weekends (combined groups with a private practice). We split holiday coverage fairly between our group and a private practice group in town. We can provide up to $15k for moving expenses.
