Presque Isle, Maine: We invite an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon to join the medical staff of northern Maines largest medical center, an 89-bed acute care hospital that is part of the states second-largest healthcare system. Join an established and busy Orthopedics practice and work alongside experienced orthopedic surgeons and advanced practitioners, supported by a skilled clinical and administrative team. This is a broad-scope general Orthopedics position encompassing hips, knees, shoulders, fractures, joint injections, casting and more. Candidates must be comfortable providing knee and total hip care. You will have flexibility to develop subspecialty interests and take on duties in leadership and teaching too, if desired.Practice in a well-equipped office right on the hospital campus, with dedicated in-office X-ray and convenient access to hospital services. On-site colleagues include Physiatry, Interventional Pain, and medical and surgical Podiatry. You will also benefit from skilled Anesthesiology, excellent Radiology services, experienced surgical technologists, inpatient and outpatient therapy, and wound care. The hospital provides Level IV trauma care and 24/7 Hospitalist coverage.The department has four operating rooms where Orthopedic surgeries are performed five days/week. You will have your own dedicated weekly OR day, with additional access available as needed. The practice support team includes an RN, nine MAs, five patient service representatives and dedicated operational leadership. The current patient-volume goal averages 18 patients/day. You will earn a highly competitive salary of $550K-$600K or more, plus productivity and incentive income, along with an outstanding benefits package providing 41 days of PTO, a sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, CME/professional development funding, and substantial, ongoing assistance with medical education debt.
